Laura Payne has a passion for connecting people within a community and she brings that passion to real estate.

A native of Alabama, Laura grew up in Eufaula and graduated from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. After graduation, she went to Washington, D.C. where she worked on Capitol Hill for various members of Congress, most prominently, the U.S. Speaker of the House of Representatives.

After several years, Laura moved back to Tuscaloosa and then Birmingham to work in the private sector in pharmaceutical sales, including Johnson & Johnson where she earned numerous sales awards. Along the way, Laura discovered her love of real estate through buying, selling, staging and renovating her own residences as well as a vacation home on Smith Lake.

Laura has the unique ability to see a property's potential as well as the vision to optimize a property for sale. Knowing neighborhoods and communities is an art, and Laura is uniquely gifted in understanding a buyer's needs and wants, and she works tirelessly to help them find the right fit for their lifestyle. Laura has managed contracting work in her own homes' renovations and has a wealth of knowledge about which enhancements help the sale of a property, as well as an eye for what needs to be taken seriously on a house under consideration for purchase.

Laura values being active in her community. She enjoys serving her alma mater, the University of Alabama, on the Leadership Board for the College of Human Environmental Sciences. She has served as a Alabama Presidential Primary delegate, the University of Alabama Jefferson County Alumni Chapter Executive Committee, various leadership positions within the Junior League, and her sorority alumni group, Alpha Chi Omega.
